Being a total newbie in receiving deutsche post brief mail via our local courier (I usually go for FedEx or DHL, but the online seller deutsche post brief I was transacting with didn’t have that option), after nearly three months of waiting, I was surprised to receive a notice from the Philippine Post Office last week , requesting me to claim a package from them:
I didn’t know how legitimate the note was, because it only contained my details (Name, Address, Parcel Number), two dates (August 1 and August 10), the Customs Fee of P40, and the Window Number where I should go to claim my package. I was expecting a parcel, so I figured that if someone knew my shipping address deutsche post brief and that I was expecting a package, then it must be legit. deutsche post brief
Despite searching the entire document, I couldn’t find an address to claim my package. My biggest dilemma now was trying to figure out if I needed to claim my package at the head Post Office in Pasay or at our local Post Office in Mandaluyong. Goodness gracious–do you know how far apart those two places are? Talk about traveling to the ends of the earth! deutsche post brief
To be honest, deutsche post brief I was a bit anxious, not knowing what to expect on my first visit to our local Post Office. I’ve heard horror stories about claiming packages in the Post Office (ie. bogus “padded” customs fees, long lines, etc). Thankfully, my real-life package-claiming experience was so much better than the stories I’ve heard from people.
It was a seamless process. I simply deutsche post brief visited the Mandaluyong Post Office, visited Window 1, paid the regular customs fee of P40, and got my package. It was that simple. deutsche post brief I was really happy with the over-all claiming experience. Thanks, PhilPost!
I was tinkering with the packaging (reading everything on it) and found out that MyPlayDirect shipped the replacement CD (the first that was shipped last May 16, 2012 got lost in the mail) last June 25, 2012 . PhilPost sent it to the local Post Office last July 10, stamped a second notice last July 19 on the package, and a last notice last July 30. Oddly enough, I got the notice (see first picture in the blog entry) from PhilPost last August 1, informing me that I had until August 10 to claim my package.
My beef with this is why the heck wasn’t I informed when PhilPost got my mail? Why alert me of the package deutsche post brief only during the third warning? My package could have been discarded, because in PhilPost’s eyes, I wasn’t claiming it from them. I didn’t understand why there were two dates on the notice (August 1 and August 10) until I saw the stamps all over my package. You can imagine how the gears on my brain were working like clockwork, piecing all these facts together.
Plus, I did learn the following things during my visit to the Post Office: deutsche post brief It costs around P75 (roughly 1.74 USD) to take a cab to the Post Office from EDSA, but only P8 (roughly 0.19 USD) to take the jeepney. deutsche post brief And yes, I took a cab from EDSA and a jeepney to EDSA. The jeepney doesn’t drop you off near EDSA. It drops you off at a side street. How to get to EDSA? Follow the people carrying shoes and walking with slippers and stockings. Trust me, they’re headed for Makati
My God, you had to wait for three months deutsche post brief before you received the registry notice? Philpost is super frustratingly slow. I am waiting for a package my sister from abroad sent me last month and until I have not received any notice to claim my parcel.
IKR? My first package got lost in the mail, so the company had to send me another one (that’s the one I got roughly three months deutsche post brief later). Sorry to hear about that, Raff. Hope you’d get yours soon.
Thanks for the share, and don’t trust Philpost,
I have also a box from Netherlands. They send me trough th post office. It contain Canon Camera , Chocolate and 2 old cellphones. It is almost 2 months till now I dont have yet. Is somebody deutsche post brief knows what is the right telephone number of the Phil.Customes? Maybe still there said by the post office in our province. deutsche post brief
sa City Hall Maysilo Circle po ba kayo nag-claim?
